is there anything else that i could gloat? can you hack?

Oh, those types of people, I really hate that!
At work each time I asked a question to my colleagues at the same department as I'm working at, they start to give me the impression that they know everything better and I'm far lower than they are.
But 2 of those got fired and 1 remained, but I decided to leave the team (with permission of the boss) and work on projects alone since a few months ago, and I feel much better now (bonus: my skills are improving a lot on all fronts too, since I don't need to ask anyone any more, so I'm now forced to figure everything out on my own).

As for the questions:
Hacking is my full time job actually, not sure what use it would have in this case?
What is a gloat?

The thing is, I only start to doubt after the fact, not before.

looking down on people isn't a nice thing and nice to know that you got your project thing now. gloat is like boasting about something only i know. i know a person who can hack! how is hacking a full time job?

The fact is, "hacking" is nothing more than an alternative word for "programming" or "coding".
It's just that the mainstream media uses this word to describe cybercrime for some reason (maybe because it rolls easy off the tongue?),

isn't hacking a way of controlling other people computers? i saw this movie and in that some guy with a group of people hacked and made the entire country work under his thumb. cybercrime isn't a word that I am familiar with.

No, this is exactly what I meant with people misusing the word "hacking" to talk about "cybercrime".
The actual meaning of that word is not what you just said.

I sometimes do this too, but that's only so that people unaware of it can understand what I'm referring to.

i am sorry but i am not well aware of many things and i am one of the common folk that you keep referring so i wouldn't know anything complicated. i am sorry and i didn't mean anything bad by it. people unaware of it mean like me?

For example.
I didn't say that people having a misconception about a certain word are necessarily evil.

It's not good, it's not bad, it's rather a double standard.
On one hand you're always being told left and right that controlling somebody's computers without their permission is a bad thing.
On the other hand, government officials and police of most countries are legally allowed to do this very thing, European parliament officials are legally allowed in all of Europe and a bit beyond, and the US security services aren't allowed to do that beyond their own borders, but they're doing this all over the world any way.

So a bit like whether it's a good thing or a bad thing depends on how much of a dictator you are.
The more totalitarian, the more likely it is that it's a bad thing unless someone with political power does this.
