Raiden vs Dante

I'm going to use Deathbattle's rules here since they make sense. In case you have no idea what they are...
1- any inhibition against killing is removed.
2- No outside help.
3- No prep time.
4- Fight ends in death.

Raiden (Metal Gear Rising)
Spoiler :

A former child soldier captured by a secret organization that used him for experiments. They converted him into a cyborg (only his brain is human). He has incredible strength, super human speed (capable of dodging bullets) and is incredibly durable. He also possesses the power to speed his perception of time up and make hyper precise cuts in a short time span.  He also can reactivate his pain sensors and enter a berserker mode that grants enhanced speed and strength (though it uses energy quickly).

His main weapon is the High Frequency Blade, a sword that can cut through virtually anything (except other HF weapons).

Dante (Devil May Cry 4)
Spoiler :

[Image: DMC4_Special_Edition_-_Dante_2_1427107138.jpg]

One of two child of the Legendary Dark Knight Sparda and a human woman named Eva. His life took a sad twist when demons killed his mother (and he presumed his brother too) on his 8th birthday. He swore to use the incredible powers given to him by his demonic lineage to find the demon responsible and make them pay.

Dante's powers include vastly enhanced speed and strength (able to reach speeds of mach 10 with no problem), a healing factor that allows him to shrug off wounds with ease, the ability to spawn infinite ammo for his guns, and when it's time to get serious his Devil Trigger... it allows him to unleash his full demonic power. Devil Trigger enhances his already formidable speed and strength, his healing factor goes into overdrive and he takes on a demonic appearance.

Dante's typical arsenal is a demonic claymore named Rebellion that can cut through most things with ease. He also has a pair of twin .45 pistols named Ebony and Ivory.

So then... who (of these two) do you think wins? And why do you think they win?

As this is not at all related to anime but related to gaming, I will be moving this thread to gamer zone.

Devil May Cry has both a manga and an anime.
Spoiler :

Metal Gear Solid has a comic. (Granted it's more about pre-Cyborg Raiden... but that kinda counts anyway right?)

I have just searched for the guest character raiden. As I always recognize at least one character, I was positive that it was a gaming character.
I will be moving this back. Thank you for your explanation

Raiden is ridiculously strong. He stopped a warship from pushing into a dock. He severed the arm of a giant robot and then beat the robot with it's own arm. Throw in there a blade that can cut virtually anything and it's hard to really stop him.
Raiden's speed though is tough to quantify. He can run along walls (though whether that's due to pure speed, claws in his feet or a byproduct of his lightning that mimics the effect used by geckos... hard to say) and he's able to dodge bullets. Which puts him at the supersonic speed level easily. But that's the best speed feat he's shown so far.

Dante on the other hand is likely on par strength wise (stopping a massive marble statue's punch, repeatedly breaking rocks from punches, etc), but his speed is far above that (Dante is hypersonic at Mach 10, evidenced by in DMC3 when he [Only registered and activated users can see links Click here to register].)

Both of them have a super form (Devil Trigger for Dante and Ripper mode for Raiden) that boosts their stats to increased levels but it's hard to say who has a better/higher boost. Or if they'd even make that much difference in a fight. (I'm ignoring any time limits on the forms as gampleplay limitations because both have displayed the ability to ignore them. Plus both offer in-game ways to have unlimited super forms.)

I guess the thing that tips it for me is Dante's regeneration ability. Raiden doesn't really have the ability to regenerate on his own. (He can regenerate, but it relies on absorbing nanotech from enemies... which relies on them having some.)
But Dante's is at a level that lets him shrug off gunfire, getting hit with explosions, being stabbed multiple times (even by his own blades) and still keep going. Sure his regeneration can be overtaxed and he can die... but it takes a lot to get him to that point. I also don't know if it allows him to regenerate fully lost limbs, reattach his head or things like that.

So for me Dante wins, but only because he can tank hits that would otherwise end most opponents and keep coming back. And in this battle of endurance, Raiden's likely wouldn't last as long as Dante's.
