Ryo Minenami’s Boy’s Abyss Manga Ends This Year

Ryo Minenami creator of Boy’s AbyssOn Jan 1, 2024 manga took to her Twitter account to share an important announcement with her fans.

In a heartfelt New Year illustration, Minenami revealed how the journey of Boy’s Abyss“It is expected to end within the year. “Boy’s Abyss concludes this year! Please continue to support Boy’s Abyss until the end!,” she stated in the illustration.

Boy’s AbyssIt is a Japanese Manga series written and illustrated Ryo Minenami. It has been serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump magazine since February 2020, with its chapters collected in 15 tankobon volumes as of December 2023.

A live-action television adaptation will be aired between September and October 2022.

MAL describes the plot as:

Reiji Kurose is a country boy who has lived in his town all his life. He can’t escape Gen Minegishi who keeps Reiji in his grasp. Sakuko, his childhood best friend, dreams of Tokyo and the chaos of its gloomy town.

As a way to withdraw from his monotonous life, Reiji finds comfort in watching the performances of “Acrylic,” an idol group, and its most beautiful member, Nagi Aoe. He doesn’t know that when he meets the famous idol behind an convenience store in his grimy city, he will be involved in scandalous events that are a result of past times. Reiji, stripped of his innocence struggles to navigate the sinful abyss he’s been dragged into. An intricate web of lies and obsession threatens to tear Reiji apart.
