Trigun is a CI-FI show from 1998, it was based on the manga that was published through 1996-2008. The show follows a wanted gun-man named Vash the stampede whom apparently annihilated a city named July some years back. The show has a lot of humor in it, you get to see the main character in a very positive light.
Vash continues to say that he's a seeker of peace and love, he refuses to kill any man or woman and child saying that he can not decide who lives and dies. (Just the way we love them heroes ^^)
He is accompanied by two woman called Millie Thompson and Maryl Stryph who try to keep him out of trouble, they work for an insurance company that labeled Vash as a natural disaster.
He also meets a priest called Nicholas D. Wolfwood.
But a bleak past of our funny and love seeking hero comes back to haunt him when his brother Knives hires a group of warriors called Gung-Ho-Guns that their main purpose is to make Vash's life a living hell until the final confrontation with his brother
The show follows the manga up to a certain point, the story is changed (but not in a bad way) for television and rated PG-13, where as in the manga it's a lot more cruel and Aggressive.
As a person who is not into science fiction i wasn't so optimistic about watching it at first, but the show has a unique way to capture your attention. Overall this show is interesting and funny with heart warming ideas and ideals. The animation is very good and the action is influenced by westerns with a twist of the unknown weapons of the future.
I recommend it. ^^
