That is really unexpected to me =)

Yep, that is why I was talking specifically about people who have lots of general knowledge.

I forgot to mention this but some track from Sailor Moon was actually played in the recent olympics.

Anyway, I'm not one to talk even if I know a couple of people since I haven't even seen almost all the works of 'famous' people(read Mamoru Oshii, Miyazaki, Satoshi Kon, Hosada, Watanabe).

I hope it didn't sound like I was including myself in that category of people with wast general knowledge : D Cause I am definitely not one of them, I am not as interested in remembering random facts. Names of famous people, historical dates etc, geography facts, you can catch me on being ignorant in so many ways xD

I feel like movies by those guys are even better appreciated when you have watched a bunch of other shows before, so I am personally not in a hurry to see all of them.

And, I don't ever feel like watching a Satoshi Kon film even though they are acclaimed because you know, I'm just afraid. Whereas a Miyazaki or a Mamoru Hosoda film seems accessible and family-friendly.

Kon's movies are pretty normal actually, at least that is how they looked to me. Just very well made movies with his unique touch. I'd suggest Paprika as the first one, although Deep Blue would probably leave more of an impression. I have only seen these two. Though come to think of it, maybe I was just unable to appreciate them in their whole glory or something, which is why I am saying they are "normal" xD I did like both of them a lot though, good enough for me.

If that's the case then I'll give it a go. I watched a movie called 'Black Swan', which people say is similar to Perfect Blue, and that film was a brilliant psychological thriller too.

I never expected it to be average at all. It's the opposite of what I have always imagined.
