Anime vs Western Comics?

Like I said I really love them both and I find difficult to choose one over the other.
Since you're pushing to choose a side and give an argument: I enjoy the details to convey the urban backgrounds, that they are in colour and more affordable and that some comics hide easter eggs. You can well proportioned human drawings in some and funny cartoons in others, there is a lot more variety in it than people realise and I feel that they are getting underrated.

I don't think that anime and Western comics share much in common really. It's a bit like comparing apples to oranges. Comparing manga to Western comics might be a more worthwhile comparison, but they still are very different.

Anime always win the first position for me.
Western comics are childish unlike anime and they are not worth my time.

Anime is good but western comics have many admirers too.

i don't see much of a distinction besides one of them made in japan and the other made in the west, really with both sides equally guilty of churning out crappy work but also deserve credit for producing some of the best modern pieces of art ever made

Anime covers lots of age groups unlike comics for teens. Anime is very popular unlike comics
