What is reputation?
A system designed to rate the posts and actions of other members. What does reputation do? Besides identifying someone as a good member or a bad member, not much. How do I give someone reputation? On every post, there is a scale icon beneath one's avatar and personal information. This is the reputation button. Click it on the post you wish to leave reputation for, select either "Approve" (positive reputation) or "Disapprove" (negitive reputation) and, if you wish, leave a message. Then click "Add to reputation" to complete the process. How can I see how many reputation points I have? 1. The number of green or red bars next to your posts (see below for details). 2. The message you see displayed when you place your mouse over the light bars (see below for details). 3. Clicking UserCP, scrolling down to the Latest Reputation Received box, and looking at the top right corner. A number is given signifying how many points you've earned. 4. Click your own "give reputation" icon. What do the bars next to one's post mean? ![]() How do I see the reputations I've been left? In the userCP, under latest reputation recieved. How can I figure out who gave me a reputation comment? Unless you're a mod, or a Super Moderator or an admin checks your profile for you, there is no way to be certain. The only other way to know is if they leave their name in the rep, or you can figure it out by the comment they left. What do the colors in the reputation recieved window signify? Negative Rep: You lose points. Null Rep: Member who repped you doesn't meet the requirements to give rep away. Your points stay the same. Positive Rep: You gain points. How often can I leave reputation comments? You can only give reputation to between 10 and 20 people in a 24 hour period, depending on how much time you wait between each. Giving many reputations out in a short period will quickly max you out for the day. Why can't I rep the same person again? To prevent abuse of the rep system, the number of times you can rep the same person is limited based upon the number of reputation comments you've left in all and the number you've left that particular person. If you find you can't give someone reputation, you'll have to rep other people before you can rep that person again. What's the difference between reputation points and reputation power? Reputation points is the amount of reputation you have in total; reputation power is the amount you change someone's rep points when repping them. What is rep abuse? Rep abuse constitutes the following: 1. Repeatedly leaving negitive reputation for the same member for no good reason 2. Leaving nothing but or almost nothing but negitive reputation comments for people in general 3. Using flaming, cursing, and insults in reputation comments 4. Leaving someone else's name with a negitive rep Rep abuse is serious misconduct, and can result in 1. Your reputation being disabled/put into the negitive 2. A ban |

Rules & Guidelines I. Be Nice Being as though the AMV Community is all about having fun and things of that nature, be nice to one another. Of course I would understand why some of you can't get along with one another, since not everyone will not share your views, naturally you will react in a negative manner. So to sum this up, just act in a respectful manner towards everyone and keep your negative comments to yourself. II. Spelling & Grammer I understand many of you may not have the best spelling and or grammer usage in the world, however please keep in mind that some of us would rather read proper english. So with that in mind, be sure to use proper spelling and grammer, that way everyone is happy. III. Flamewars Flamewars contribute nothing to the growth of the forums, so please don't get aggrivated by someone. If you feel as though you need to flame or argue with someone just direct your concerns to a Administrator and we will treat it as quickly as possible. IV. "Off The Tangent" I understand that sometimes people will interrupt a topic with something completely "off the tangent" and that will disrupt the entire flow of everything. So what I want to say about that, just don't do that. If you have nothing to say concerning the topic at hand just don't say anything. Also if a topic has already gone off-topic just let a Administrator or Moderator know and we will handle the situation. V. Respect One Another Nothing much to say concerning this. Just know that even people on the Internets have feelings. Also please remember who your talking to. VI. Don't "Scream" Don't go "Screaming" (a.k.a using caps-lock) in topics. It's not nessasary and doesn't contribute to the topic. VII. Illegial Activities & Pornagraphic Material The useage and distribution of WareZ and/or Pornographic Material is illegial and will instantly get you banned from these forums. VIII. Spoilers Keep the spoilers in check, we have a movie/gaming and manga forum and some people are not at the point where you are, and perhaps vice versa. Remember to use

tags where appropriate, and if unsure, better safe than sorry. Do not post adult content (porn, hentai etc.) you might get banned. Avatar rules! 100x100 is the dimension size limit so you can't go over that. No nudity in the avatar. Signature rules! 500x150 is the maximum width of a signature. If you go over, you will receive a PM to remove it. If that is not done, it'll be removed by an administrator. Obviously no nudity or vulgar language may be on the signature. We allow a maximum of 2 images per signature barring small and i mean SMALL fanclub images. Nettiqute http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Netiquette Final Word Admins, Super Moderators and Moderators will always get the final say in any arguement, Our will is law. |

How Do I Change My Username? It's quite simple really. Just follow this link Which can also be found by going to your User Control Panel and clicking on the username Request. Once in that page simply type in the username you would like as a substitute and we the Administrators will automatically get a notice about it and get either Refuse or Approve your request. Either way you get an automatic PM back telling you the result. Nice and neat and easy to do. |

What Are Awards? Awards are little icons which appear underneath your avatar next to your posts, They also appear as larger images in your User Profile when others view it with information as to why you received the award and what it is. For a list of all current awards simply follow this link How Do I Get An Award? Awards are usually given out as prizes in contests, They can also be given out at an administrators discretion if he/she thinks that the user has done something to deserve that particular award. The moderating staff can also suggest to the administrators users that should receive an award if they do so wish. Why Do I Want An Award? So your better then others. |
