This is my first review so… actually there is not much to say, hope you guys enjoy 😀
Manga name: Sousei no Ommyouji
Chapters: 36 (according to the time of this review)
Description (Source – Wiki): Rokuro Enmado is a young boy who used to be a powerful aspiring exorcist, before a tragic incident left his friends dead and made him abandon the profession. One day, he has a fateful encounter with Benio Adashino, a girl around his age and a well known exorcist from the east. According to prophecy, Rokuro and Benio are the “Twin Star Exorcists”, and are destined to marry and have a child known as the Miko, which will be the ultimate exorcist, capable of cleansing all evil spirits, or Kegare, from the world and ending the war that has lasted over a millennium.

1) Artstyle: The artstyle is really good, though not something extraordinary. The curious thing is everything looks so… young and energetic. I mean why the adults look just like young characters? On the other hand, cute female characters are all fine by me :D.
2) Story: The story is typical shounen plot about the fight between ‘good’ and ‘evil’, in which the Exorcists protect the humankinds from the enigmatic beings of the Impurity. The ultimate goal of Exorcists are to cleanse all the Impurities from the world, on the other hand, the goal of the Impurities are kinda unknown. The main character is also kinda typical (young talented warrior but need to be trained to become badass). Interestingly the main guy here Rokuro is ‘engaged’ with a girl (Benio) and we can say the girl is the one who empowers Rokuro. Turns out the story is also a lil bit ‘romantic’ side with the couple Rokuro-Benio (still I gotta admit, the couple looks cute).
The plots are not really ‘innovative’, but in the recent time, somehow they bring good enough tensions and secrets to keep people watching the serie.
3) Characters: Because until now there are 36 chapters so it is hard to rate the characters in the long term. But so far the characters in this serie are memorable, both main and secondary characters. As I said the main guy Rokuro is a typical hero-type, however, with Benio, the couple becomes much more interesting to see, the way they interact with each other – like a young students couple, both have dream, passion, but when it comes down to romantic part, they are always in shy situation.
Besides this couple, characters who attract readers the most are probably the Heavenly Commanders and the Basara (literally strongest exorcists and strongest impurities). So far we can only see few members of Heavenly Commanders (Seinen and Shimon) and Basara. So besides these guys, most other characters are not that memorable (except for Seinen’s daughter, though she might annoy readers in the first few chapters).
4) Combat elements: The combat elements in Sousei no Ommyouji is really interesting to me with all kinds of equipments, especially the equipments of Heavenly Commanders and the abilities of the Impurities. The combat looks flashy in the manga so I expect that it also looks amazing in the anime (already ongoing alongside with manga).
In overall for now, I will give this one 8/10 since I’m pretty hooked into this one. But as I mentioned that the manga is still early so not much to say. By the first impression, I really recommend it. Anime is also available too. Current I’m still following this serie so there maybe some updates in the review later.
