100 $ is the membership money to watch the animation free in a legal site.
The membership is valid for 3 months and I think it's too much, human.
100$ for all the anime u want for 3 months it isn't that expensive, right?
if u watch just one piece then yeah that is too much but u can always buy one piece dvds for a cheaper price while still watching it legally

HideMyAss costs a lot of money... And I've heard that they keep logs and give their clients' info to the authorities...

Mangafox, Mangareader, Batoto, Animefreak, Animeultima, torrent and leach websites are being targeted. It was an official statement from the Japanese Government but well, its hard to implement. I mean, most of those sites are Chinese/Korean websites over which Japanese Government has no authority at all so its been hard for them to remove all those.

Although they seem to be actively removing videos from Youtube and Dailymotion so I doubt there'll be much Anime episodes left on youtube/dailymotion after some years. Some past six months ago, there were also fourty Japanese people arrested because they uploaded manga raws so the manga can be translated online. That's the reason why mostly people nowadays don't upload raws to raw manga websites like Mangaraw or Senmanga but instead send it privately to the translators for money.

Either ways, I don't think its possible to actually stop the distribution of anime/manga. There's like... a lot of people that are otakus...so yeah... pretty much impossible.

Here's what they say:

Manga-Anime Guardians aka MAG Wrote:Regrettably, according to a report by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) of Japan, a huge number of Manga and Anime fans, over 50% of them in the U.S. and 12% in Japan, are watching or reading pirated works.

The estimated cost of damage from online piracy is as much as JPY 2 trillion (approximately US$ 20 billion). In addition, a report by the Agency for Cultural Affairs of Japan indicates that in the major cities of China (Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Chongqing) the damage cost to Japanese content is JPY 560 billion (approximately US$ 5.6 billion) per year.

In a ranking by an information distribution survey site, for example, a popular piracy site is ranked 156th in Japan and 1,391st in the world, which is a similar rank with major listed companies on a stock firm in Japan.

Another example of showing you the serious situation of piracy is the number of illegal downloads of a popular Manga series from the piracy site: 41,363DLs for Volume 67, 39,623DLs for Volume 68, and 31,924DLs for Volume 69.

Piracy offences in Anime have also been serious. Pirated videos of a popular feature-length Anime have over 12 million views on a well-known video hosting site, which likely brought in a lot of illicit profits to the “pirate” from advertisement space.

Yep, they have banned a lot but the major websites are unaffected -- such as Mangafox or Mangareader. The only major website they will likely get is Batoto(My favorite qwq) because Batoto actually obeys the DMCA notices. Mangafox and Mangareader are just money-making websites that don't actually don't give a crap.

And yes, I'm aware about YesManga and MangaFun being closed down due to JP copyrights.

I stopped watching it because the anime is terribly paced. I think one episode is equivalent to one chapter in the manga? Not sure if they are still pacing it that way but toei animations isn't that great.
